| Wiley Elvin Gibson, age 57, of Rt. 2, Huntsville, passed away at his home Sunday morning, Oct. 15, 1978. He was the son of the late Lonnie Gibson and the late Sally Harness Gibson. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Ermon Gibson and Johnny Homer Gibson. A member of the Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Artie Marie Lowe Gibson, Rt. 2, Huntsville, on [one] daughter: Virgie Gibson, Knoxville, one son, Dwain Gibson, Rt. 2 Huntsville, four sisters: Beulah Gibson, Ernie Smithers, both of Mt. View, Hattie Byrd, Rt. 1, Huntsville, Rosetta Chambers, Cincinnati, Ohio, two brothers: Hurstle Gibson, Rt. 2, Pioneer, and Olive (Hoot) Gibson, Rt. 1, Huntsville, 7 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were conducted from the Smokey Creek Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, with Rev. Edmond Lowe officiating. Burial in the Smokey Creek Cemetery.
