| Margaret A. Buck, was born September, 1881 died December 12, 1966, in the Fentress County Hospital after an extended illness. She was 85 years old and the oldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hull of Armathwaite. She was married to Noah A. Buck June 22, 1902. They were married 59 ? years before his death December 14, 1961. To this union was born four daughters and two sons. She professed a hope in Christ and joined the Fellowship United Baptist Church September 1899, where she remained a faithful member. She lived a faithful Christian and attended church regularly and faithfully as long as she was able. She loved her home, family and Church, and never let anything come in the way of her Church duties and obligations. She made the statement that was the next thing to going to heaven fulfilling her duties and going to the House of Lord. When her seat was vacant there was always sickness in the family that kept her away or some just cause. Her Christian traits were present every day of her life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother in her beauty and countenance where embodied all the peace and joy of a happy Christian life. She and her husband N. A. Buck attended their Church Associations of the West Union Association as long as they were able. This was an occasion they looked forward to. They stood behind the Ministers of the Gospel that preached in its purity and power that people may be saved. She was the Church Clerk for 25 years of the Fellowship Church. She leaves her children: Mrs. C.R. Dunford, Clyde C. Buck, Maj. John A. Buck all of Armathwaite, Mrs. Oscar Range and Mrs. William Berry, both of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. H. C. Richardson of Russellville, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Willie Voiles, Mrs. Joe Voiles and Mrs. C. J. Cross all of Armathwaite, Tenn., Mrs. Granville Bow of Indiantown, Fla. and Mrs. Edd Tompkins of Dayton, Ohio, one brother, Roy Hull, Nashville. (Source: The Scott County News, 6 Jan 1967, p7) |
